The PoT examination comprises 42 questions each formatted as multiple-choice, multi-part multiple-choice, or multiple-response. The first 40 questions make up 80% of the marks and the final 2 questions are worth 10% each.

Entry to the ICAEW CFAB qualification does not require any prior qualifications. After passing all 6 exams, you become eligible for entry into the ICAEW qualification.

In what order should I take the ICAEW CFAB exams?

You can take the six exams in any order. However, we would recommend taking the accounting paper before the assurance paper.

To sit for your exams and achieve the qualification, you must register as an ICAEW CFAB student with the ICAEW.
